• See artist Nahum Gutman’s mosaic fountain City of Sea and Sand, depicting the history of Tel Aviv, then continue to see his massive mosaic mural of Little Tel Aviv in the Shalom Towers; enroute view Louis (TIM) Mitelberg’s statue of Hommage au Captain Dreyfus.
• Stop at the Founders’ Monument on Rothschild Boulevard to learn about the establishment of Tel Aviv and view the Bauhaus architecture for which central Tel Aviv’s ‘White City’ was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
• Tasting tour in the Levinsky Balkan Market, with lunch on own, if still hungry
• An Animated Forger:Visit to the Joseph Bau House, hosted by his daughters or granddaughter. Joseph Bau was a Holocaust survivor, the father of Israeli animation and a master forger for the Mossad, whose wedding appears in the film Schindler’s List.

• Druze cooking workshop and lunch at Nora’s Kitchen in the village of Dalyat El Carmel on Carmel and opportunity to hear a local Druze woman speak about her community.
• Guided tour of Tzippori to see its exquisite ancient mosaics, including Mona Lisa of the Galilee, Nile Flood Festival, Orpheus and Synagogue Pavement.
• Visit the Resh LaQish Olive Oil Press in Moshav Tzippori, for an interactive workshop on olive oil production.

• Synagogues in the Jewish Quarter: Guided tour including visits to the Four Sephardic Synagogues, the restored Hurva Synagogue and the Karaite Museum, concluding with a discussion about the remarkable discoveries under the Tiferet Yisrael Synagogue.
• Guided visit to the Israelite Tower, an ordinarily closed archaeological site which will be opened especially for your group, where the Bible, history, archaeological discoveries and modern science come together ‘like a puzzle’ to recreate an event in Jerusalem’s past.
• The Flavors of the Old City, a guided journey to explore the great variety of culinary traditions in the Old City Marketplaces, with tastings and baking demonstrations.

• In depth tour of new excavations beneath the Western Wall Plaza which has not yet been opened to the public guided by a leading archaeologist.

• Visit Khan Shaar Hagai – Bab El Wad National Memorial Site, a new visitors center dedicated to the struggle for the Road to Jerusalem during Israel’s War of Independence.
• Travel to the Izza Paziza Goat Farm in the Judean Lowlands and take part in a goat cheese making workshop, followed by lunch and hear about the tremendous growth of cheese-making and farm-to-table ventures in Israel over the past decade.
• Wine tasting at the Barkan Winery on Kibbutz Hulda.
• Digestif: Stop at the Hollander Distillery on Moshav Beit Meir in the Judean Hills for liqueur tasting and a conversation with the Hollander family.
• Return to Jerusalem.

• Seam Lines and Pens: A literary walk led by Rachel Korazim along social and political seam lines in Jerusalem’s Musrara neighborhood and along the former cease fire lines (Green Line), which still demarcate east and west Jerusalem.

• Crossing the line: Tour of an Ultra-Orthodox neighborhood and discussion about the religious spectrum in Israel with Moti Bar Lev, who was born in Jerusalem’s Meah Shearim neighborhood and left the Haredi world to become secular.
• Return to hotel with free time to relax and explore Jerusalem on own.

• Guided visit to the Holocaust Art Museum at Yad Vashem to explore art as a method of documenting and memorializing the Holocaust.
• Continue to the Ein Kerem artists village for visits to selected studios and galleries of local artists.

• Farewell dinner at a local restaurant.
• Depart for Ben Gurion International Airport for return flight home.
